The legendary Nike Air Max 1 '86 Big Bubble White Red makes its triumphant return.
Originally designed by Tinker Hatfield in 1986 and inspired by Paris's Centre Pompidou architecture, this rare silhouette featured an oversized Air Sole unit. Technical limitations caused the air cushion to crack, forcing Nike to reduce the bubble size for the standard Air Max 1 we know today.
Now, 2023 brings back the iconic Big Bubble with faithful original proportions. White mesh upper with grey and suede red overlays, red branding on the heel and tongue, white midsole with the signature enlarged Air-Sole unit, and a tricolor outsole complete the design.
Includes a special aged-finish box with transparent windows showcasing the Swoosh and expanded Air-Sole unit.
